Does the MSM put their ideology above profits and ratings?

The days of Edward R. Murrow are long since gone. The MSM just pushes the flavor of the month. Serious examination of issues is unthinkable. While I was overseas, I got to watch the BBC. While I have no doubt it was slanted as well, it was nice to see things not broadcast on our channels. Now I also got to listen to VOA over there in Kuwait. They had one segment that did a media wrap up that was somewhat of a commentary. The thing would be a joke when Fred Barnes had the moderator's chair. Rah, rah, rah. Idiot. I just look at it as the price of living in a country dominated by moneyed interests.
