WTF Happened To My TV?

I went to sleep with my TV working perfectly... I woke up, went to school, but when I arrived home I noticed my video cord from the VCR to my TV was unplugged. I plugged it back in and my TV had a snow screen and said CH 9 in purple color which the channel is usually a bluish color. I can't change my channel with or without a remote control, I have used the ons on the TV and still nothing. The volume works, the menu works, the power works, but channel UP/DOWN doesn't work. I need to get my TV from channel 9 to channel 3 so I can play Xbox 360. I have no idea why my TV would just do this, it's as if the channel is locked in place. I have a 22'' Emerson Flatscreen TV. Please help... Thanks
