Why is it that i cant find a mantis?

I live in Minnesota and i bought a couple egg cases . they all hatched. i should have enough foliage for them. For some reason they are getting harder and harder to find. Is it because predators or are they in different yards, but it doesnt make alot of sense because my neighbors hav just gr.
