Guys advice needed please asap!!!!?

He's just nervous. His friend probably told him that he told you that he liked you. Pretty much, he knows that you know and he's very nervous about the outcome. I am best friends with this guy, Matt. I really wanna ask him out and all, but if he said no, it would always be awkward between us. He doesn't wanna ruin your friendship with him. If you don't like him back, it'll be awkward between you two. Then again, if you go out with him and break up, you won't be as great of friends anymore.
