Ive had my 1st varicella immunization, and i had the chickenpox when i was like 8 yrs old?

im a nursing student, and my clinical instructor is telling me I need the 2nd varicella shot, i didnt have problems with my clinicals before from other semesters, i dont want to waste money when i dont really need it. Do I really have to get the 2nd one now?
